Can you please tell me the running costs of a 1998 Toyota Hiace Diesel and a 2001 Audi Quattro please

The AA calculates the running costs over the first five years of a car's life. The value of the vehicle is taken at the start of the third year, it is the biggest contributing factor of the overall running costs.
This means that the AA rates don't really fit your vehicles.

By our calculations a 10 year old vehicle has about 2/3 of the running costs of a 3 year old.

We estimate your 1998 diesel Hiace to cost about 55 Cents per Kilometer and your 2001 Audi (depending on the model) about 53 cents per km.
