Hi
I do approx 120kms per day five days a week travelling to work, 80% of this is open road driving the other 20% would be in town in moderate/high traffic. I am looking at purchasing a vehicle that is more fuel efficient to run than my 2001 BMW 320i, 2.2 litre, 4 door sedan. However i have no idea what to look at as i still want a car that has a high safety rating and is comfortable. Do you have any ideas on makes/models of more fuel efficient vehicles?
Thanks
Are you looking at buying new or used? How much are you looking at spending and are you looking for a smaller car or large sedan?
Hi
Sorry for the late reply. We would be looking at buying a second hand car up to $15,000. We would prefer a medium sized vehicle as we are expecting our first baby so need room for strollers etc.
Cheers
The Mazda 3/Axela might be the right car for you. The 2.0L engine will have enough power for you and depending on how you drive the fuel consumption will be around 7.5L/100km. It has space for a stroller in the boot and it is a good all-round car.
