The AA carries out running cost calculations on an annual basis. These take every aspect of running a vehicle into account. Fuel, servicing, tyres, WOF registration, insurance, depreciation etc are all contributing factors, with the biggest component being depreciation (which surprises many people). As you can see, insurance is included, but there's nothing to stop you shopping around for premium prices).

Judging from the 0.809c you have quoted, I'm guessing you are running a diesel vehicle under 3.0 litre capacity. (that was the 2011/12 rate, which has changed slightly for 2012/13).
