I have a 1968 4.2 litre series 1 1/2 E type Jaguar. Can you advise me what fuel I should be using?

There are a number of factors that dictate what fuel to use, not least of which is compression ratio. However, without any specific listing for your car and having some limited experience of the model, I would use 95 octane fuel for smoother running. Although it's not the most frugal car around and I'm imagining you will not be using this car as a daily driver, the little extra cost of the fuel will be minimal.
