Hi there - I wondered if you could let me know how many km's per year I would need to do in a diesel versus the cost of petrol taking into account the cost of RUC. Cheers - Craig
There is no magical number however anything less than 20,000km becomes very marginal in our opinion however, some diesel buyers often need a vehicle which suits towing on a regular basis regardless of annual distances travelled.
RUC is only one consideration. Often you pay more for a diesel vehicle, registration is higher as is maintenance costs over a long ownership period.
Obviously the more distance travelled per year, the greater the swing toward Diesel.
