Trying to find on AA site how much per km my employer should pay me per km for running my 2000cc petrol car on their work.Looked on the IRD site at it says 74 cents per km. Is this what my employer
should be paying me.According to what I found on the IRD site this should go back to Apr 2010.?
Please advise
Thanks Tony.
The IRD mileage reimbursement rate is 74 cents per kilometre, for up to 5,000 km of work-related travel per year. For distances greater than 5,000 km, you must keep a record of actual vehicle expenses.
If you're an employee driving over 5,000km for work-related purposes, you can choose to keep actual expenses OR accept your employer's reimbursement rate.

The AA rates can be found by logging onto MY AA from our website or by calling 0800 500 333 (members only) or 0900 58 324 (non members pay a flat rate of $7.00 currently).
The question I want to ask is what is the rate per km for running a Subaru forester, 2 litre turbocharged, which can only run on 95 octane fuel, also costs more to insure than an average car. Like wise the cost for tyres and servicing seem to be on the pricey side.
