Bridgestoone / Firestone sell a tyre which they reckon saves fuel? Is this a sales gimmig or true?
I’m sure Bridgestone/Firestone can produce solid evidence to support their claims.
The AA has done its own (unscientific) testing with a similar type of tyre from another well known brand manufacturer and achieved a fuel saving of over 4%.
These sorts of savings are never a given however, they simply provide a potential benefit. The car still has to be driven economically.
