My car is about 7-8 years old. Recently I noticed the engine sounds a bit louder than it used to be. What can I do to reduce that noise? I have been using Castrol Magnetec oil all the time. I suspect the noise issue is related the fact that I have to be stuck in the traffic longer than before.

You need to go to your local garage or preferred repairer and ask them to cast an ear over the engine. It should take them less than 5 minutes to determine whether there is anything to worry about or not.
