Hi, Does AA have a spreadsheet I could use to work out the running costs on a vehicle based on the actual usage. The 2011 Diesel car costs sheet is based on only $14000 kms p.a , we do 45000kms accordingly we use more tyres, servicing,t he vehicle depreciates faster etc. We charge back as this is a business vehicle but I am unsure if our charge out rates come anywhere near what it is costing to run the vehicle. We have a Holden Rodeo Ute so our Rego is $599 not $418. Thanks J

If you are an AA member call our Motoring Advice line on 0800 500 333 (option 2) and ask for the 2011 running costs to be emailed to you. You may be able to manipulate those figures to suit your requirements.

If you are not a AA member then call 0900 58 324 and leave your contact details. Calls have a flat rate charge of $7.00.

Thanks. The info you emailed through is what i had already downloaded from your site and doesn't really give me an accurate costing given the high Kms we do. What would be really great is if AA set up an online spreadsheet so that members can enter the details such as kms they do, road user charges, vehicle size etc. I am sure there are many members who do more or less than the standard amount which also affects the depreciation on the vehicle.
