Hi there,
I recently purchases a Mazda Axela 2013 1.5L hatchback. Just wondering if its best to put 95 rather than 91 in it?

Hi there,
I can't see any fuel specs for most imported vehicles, the NZ new Mazda 3 which is a 2.0ltr is listed as using 91, however you can switch to 95 and see if you notice a difference other than the extra costs, if not then switch back to 91.

Thank you for your reply!
What type of difference is 95 meant to make compared to 91?

Hi there,
It is a higher octane which burns at a different rate which is better for engines that require it. But in a vehicle that may not require it, the difference may be still better (power and economy) or no noticeable difference at all will be experienced- there is no real exact gain to mention.
