Hi! I own a Toyota Crown 2007 2.5L Royal Saloon. Recently the VSC and engine check light pop up on the dashboard. My mechanic says that the oxygen sensor was faulty. I was told for V6 engine I should use at least RON95. As far as my understanding goes, Toyota Crown is good with RON91. Could you please shed some light on this as my mechanic recommended for me to use RON95 or RON98 for maintenance, performance and says it might even help to save fuel. Thanks.
Hi there,
As this vehicle is a Japanese import, there are no fuel specs available- you may need to ask Toyota and see what they would recommend.
Hi Cade, Appreciate your speedy reply. The engine for my Toyota Crown is 4GR-FSE. It is same with Lexus IS250. Would you be able to give a general comments as the best fuel type to use? Would my mechanic comments make sense?
Hi there,
I can see the fuel specs for a 2008 Lexus IS250 (NZ new) listed as requiring 95 octane fuel, so if you believe them to be the same, then I would not recommend 91.
