I brought a recent Toyota Corolla Levin SX car and in the manual it says I can use 91 or higher octane petrol.
Does that mean I should use 91 but can use a higher octane petrol or does it mean it does not matter what octane petrol I use a long as it's not lower than 91 octane?
Do I gain anything by using 95 or 98 octane petrol as it will cost me more money to buy this higher octane petrol?
Hi there,
Yes this does give you some options, you may need to experiment with different octane fuels to see if you experience and tangible difference.
Most drivers may not see any performance increase and just know that its costs more to fill the car up. The vehicle computer system will adjust the performance to match the fuel used.
