I have a 2007 Toyota Hilux 4.0 liter V6 ( 1GR-FE ) motor. I have been running it on 91 octane but it has been suggested to me that it should be run on 95 or 98 octane. I have been getting between 11 to 12 litres per 100 k depending on what it is being used for including towing a tandem trailer and metal roads. Any advice would be appreciated. Bob.
