I am looking to buy a 2012 Toyota HiAce and am wondering how different the 3L diesel would be to run compared to the 2L petrol?

Give that Wellington is hilly I figure a bit of extra grunt might come in handy? Although I'm generally not going to be hauling much weight.

Hi there,
The Diesel will have more torque (pulling power) and go further on a tank of fuel.
But they can be a bit prone to requiring some fuel system maintenance like glow plugs or injectors.
The fuel injected engine is great and I'm not really aware of any negatives.
