Is it right that this vehicle only does 20miles to the gallon

I can’t find the official fuel consumption figures for this vehicle, but other publications I have found would suggest your figures are close to reality (possibly on the high side).

An awful lot depends on the loads the vehicle would carry, how it is driven and the environment it is driven in.

Around town fuel consumption is never going to be great, on the open highway however it could change dramatically.

A figure of around 12l/100km (23.5mpg) would not surprise me.
