Hi.

The workshop where I sent my car to do a wheel alignment told me that I had to change my suspension bushes.

I agreed but after that work, I am now getting a knocking/clunking noise from the left front when I move from stationary position both forwards and back.

It is very disconcerning as my body can feel the the vibration of that noise coming through

I have brought back the car twice to the workshop who verified the sound in a test drive with me. They did a full check of the suspensions on the hoist but says everything works fine and is safe to drive were unable to locate the source of the sound.

They say it is just the nature of the car being 10 years old.

I had the car from new and it never had such a noise until the suspension bush change.

How do I tell if the job wasn't done properly or another component didn't like the new bushes installed?

Does AA offer inspection services to check the job?

Hi there,
I recommend you take your car for a second opinion, any garage, AA Auto Service, or Approved repairer can check the suspension system out for you.
