My Toyota Vitz is recommended to use Synthetic oil 5W-30. It is a petrol motor. Can I use a Synthetic Diesel oil. Some oils say you can use for both types.

It's not something I would recommend, unless the oil pack specifically says that it meets the same criteria and can be used in a petrol engine. Most of the universal oils I see are petrol oils that can be used in a non DPF diesels and not usually the other way round.
