Hi.
We're in the process of looking at a 7 seater for our family. My husband is very keen to keep away from a people mover. We've looked at a Mitsubishi Outlander (2005) which was very nice but I'm a bit concerned about the safety of the back seat and also wondered if rust is still a problem for Mitsubishi's? We've also just seen a Toyota Mark X ZiO (2008) which looks like it could be a good option. Can anyone give me advice about these. Are parts hard to get etc?
We're looking to spend $10-18k. I'd love to hear any other suggestions.

It does look like the Outlander could be one of the main reliable 7-seaters on offer within your requirements. (No word of late with regards to rust)
The Mark X is more recent on the import scene and have not heard too much said about them. You may find that like most car-like 7-seaters that the room in the 7th row will be very limited and no boot space when the seats are used. But you will have to load it up and see if it suits.
