My car failed a wof a year ago and required both rod ends to be replaced. The garage replaced them and issued a wof and suggested I should get the wheel alignment checked.
If work is done on the steering and suspension, should wheel alignment be checked before a wof is issued? After I received the car back the steering wheel was out of alignment but I did not get the wheel alignment checked. When I went for my current wof two tyres failed and the others were marginal. I replaced all tyres and got the wheel alignment done, to be told the front wheel alignment was way out of range. When taking my vehicle back to get the wof, I spoke to the workshop manager and was told that wheel alignment after suspension and steering repairs was not a requirement for getting a wof. I find this absurd. Who is correct?
