Hi, I recently purchased a NZ new 2014 Honda CRV, Auto, 4WD, 2.4 Petrol, 60,000km, absolutely love the car. I am looking at purchasing a caravan, 16ft, 2 berth, laden weight 1325kg, braked, single axle. Would the Honda manage this size caravan, strictly tar sealed roads, no off-road stuff. It is a late model English Import caravan. Kind regards, Garry

My specs show that the max braked tow limit for this Honda is 1500kgs so you will be just inside this rating. But you will have to watch if you intend on loading up the caravan for travel, it may easily creep over the limit and you may struggle with braking.

Hi Cade, thanks for the reply. I made a mistake the weight of the caravan ready to go is 1100kg. but it can be loaded up 1325kg. I plan to carry most things in the car anyway when travelling. So going by that the CRV should handle things OK.
