Hi,
I have a car that was impacted in an accident on the left back side where the wheel is. Although it is drive-able and looks fine on the outside, I am concerned that there may be internal structural damage maybe to the brakes or the wheel Axel. I was thinking do I need to bring it to a mechanic first to have him/her inspect the vehicle for structural damage or could I bring it straight to a panel beater and they can inspect and repair any structural damage if necessary?
Regards,
Jason

Hi there,
Your vehicle may need to go to both, if it has bodywork to be repaired, and may also require suspension, brakes, wheels ect to be inspected. A mechanic might need to look at it before the bodywork is repaired, but it may not matter which order you choose, as long as both get checked.
A panel beater might organise all of it, but this would also depend if you are going through insurance or if the panel beater suspects other damage.
