my 1996 vs ss commodore has always started straight away but for the last two days it takes up to about 4 seconds to start and I am wondering if there is anything obvious that I can ckeck?

Hi Nick,
I can't think of anything glaringly obvious to check, aside from the usual state of tune.
Start with the battery check/test and move to sparkplugs, air & fuel filters and maybe even check that the thermostat is operational.
