I bought my car about a year ago and it is in very good condition and running very well. However, I found out recently that on damp and wet days, when I drive the car, there is a musty smell coming through the vents. It is certainly not coming from inside, but always happens when it is damp and wet outside. Also when I switch on the air conditioner, same musty smell starts coming in through the vents. This may sound silly but this is something I have been observing during the past months. Please let me know if you have any explanation. Thank you.

Hi there, if your vehicle has a pollen filter, it may be time to replace it. you can also check that the A/C drain tube is not blocked and water is draining onto the ground under the car when the A/C is operating.
Lastly, you can get a can of A/C system cleaner from a Repco or similar auto shop, this sprays in the fresh air vents and acts as a cleaner and deodoriser.
