I've done a bit of research on this model and there seems to be LOTS of references to transmission / clutch juddering and shuddering problems resulting in numerous fixes, not always successful. Although I couldn't find any NZ reviews, there were UK, USA and Australian complaints, would I be naive enough to expect that this problem doesn't exist in NZ, maybe not in all vehicles, but in a significant number?

I have heard of these problems in NZ cars also. Unfortunately as they are a good car, I'm
not sure if they have changed the cars now so it is no longer an issue.
Some people also say it is a characteristic of the dual clutch operation, and not a fault that can be remedied. But an understanding of the workings of the vehicle.
Definitely worth more research though, take one for a test drive.
