The transmission fluid was changed recently and since then the gears have been slipping. I took it back but the mechanic couldn't find any fault with it. It seemed to get worse over the next few weeks so I rang the mechanic to check what type of fluid was used and he got really defensive. I got a second opinion and it definitely wasn't just me imagining that it would slip in low gear and not change when it should at high speed. Do I get it done again and hope it solves the issue? I'm worried about the damage it might be doing.

Hi there,
Yes definately get the issue looked at. If the incorrect fluid has been used, then it will need to be changed and flushed. If in doubt check with a transmission specialist or a Mazda dealer and see if they can offer any more insite.
