I'm getting about 11 lts per 100km and it's supposed to have a rating of 8.9 lts per 100km
what could cause the vehicle to burn so much extra fuel. The tyre pressure is at 30 psi

Toyota Ravs are not known for fuel economy. Our "real world" driving is quite far from
the lab conditions that the vehicle was originally tested in. So it is super hard to get the same from our cars. I would try a little extra in the tyres, maybe 32-34 psi.
Maybe also a service check of the air filter, fuel filter, and sparkplugs. As old or worn units
could contribute to higher fuel consumption. If they havn't been attended to for a long time.
