Which out of a Ford ranger or a Madza Bt 50 is the better vehicle to buy new.

The platform for both are pretty much the same. Some suspension differences, body, and trim being the most obvious changes.
I think the Ranger is the most popular.
Comes down to personal choice, my pick would be the Ranger.
Depending on spec, the price for both are similar.

Overall Ranger just feels a lot tighter and less irritating on long drives. generally both decent cars but lack of power is annoying.
We looked at Hilux as well, but wife didn't like the accessibility and blind zones.
Looked at Navara. Rattly, very very underpowered, but looks cool.
Amarok was brilliant but outside the price range.
Ended up with 2017 Wildtrack that was tuned by Speedministry.co.nz. So far done 60000km in 2 years and loving it.
