I have a Mazda Demio 1998 with nearly 80,000 Kms on the clock. How will I know when the cambelt should be changed?

The cam belt should be replaced every 5 years or 100,000kms which ever comes first.
Unfortunately the driver gets no warning if the cam belt is about to break, hence the importance of replacement when due.
If the belt has been replaced by a previous owner, there maybe a sticker placed in the engine bay giving the date and odometer reading the change took place.
If there is no evidence of a change then get it done ASAP.
