Have recently purchased the above vehicle.I notice that as the vehicle slows to a standstill it give the feeling that the brakes are being lightly applied. My question is,is this normal with the cvt trans? I have noticed the same thing on a Corolla I rented last year although I did,nt think that had a cvt.

If the corolla you drove was the new shape then it's fitted with a CVT transmission too. When the transmission is in drive and you release the accelerator pedal there will be a degree of engine braking that takes place and its normal. In some cases the systems will vary the CVT gear ratio to assit with engine braking.
