Hi,
I have had this vehicle from 37000k's. It has now done 48000k's. It goes great, no issues at all. I am going to take it in at 50000k's for automatic transmission service. I have a small (13ft) caravan and would like your advice as to whether I need a transmission cooler for occasional towing or is this not really a necessary expense.

Without knowing the weight of the caravan, it's hard to say for sure. However, for the longevity of the transmission, if you are planning to do a reasonable amount of towing, there are benefits in having a cooler fitted.
Perhaps weigh the caravan (laden) and seek advice of the transmission specialist who will be servicing the transmission.
