We bought a Hyundai Getz abt a year ago. It has developed a kind of rattling or grating noise. We have had it in to our local garage twice, They checked for something trapped under the wheel guard but said it was clear. The last time they said the engine mount was pressing down on something and they replaced it. It has removed some noise but we still have this rattling when the car is going very slowly (accelerating from start or coming to a stop. We have just had a trip to Ch/ch abt 400 Km return and apart from this noise no problems. The car is a 2007 model. Sorry if this is not very clear but would appreciate any suggestions. George Cooper

The problem could be anything from a faulty engine mounting to an aircon pipe making contact with another part when the engine tilts. I suggest you take the vehicle to another repairer for a second look - a Hyundai dealer might have already experienced a similar problem and know where the fault lies.
