I have a VW golf, and one of the back windows is stuck half way down, I already know there is a problem with the regulator in the window. Is there anyway I can get the window up to the top? I don't want it fixed, I just need it to stay at the top (or close to) thanks.

You don't say what year this car is, but I'll take a guess that it's probably a Mk3 or Mk4, given the problem.
Unfortunately, there's no easy way to get the window up without dismantling anything if the regulator has failed. These are a wire spool driven regulator and the most common problem is that the wire frays and becomes tangled, so it becomes like a bird's nest in a fishing reel and won't go anywhere.
The only option is to remove the inside door trim panel and separate the glass from the regulator and find a way to wedge the glass up. (I've seen a piece of wood used, but whatever you can find lying around!).
