Just wondering your thoughts on the chain driven verse the cambelt Subaru Legacy wagons.
To me it makes sense that the chain driven are sligtly more economical with fuel and to maintain.

In saying that, I don't think there has been much trouble with the previous versions as long as the cambelts are changed when recommended.

The biggest difference to the owner of the vehicle is that you will need to budget for the cambelt replacement as they can range from around $600.00 and upwards – excluding the service. Whereas timing chains don't have a scheduled replacement interval and the only time they need replacing is if they happen to stretch.
