I am looking to buy a 5dr Hatchback car and have come across a 2004 Nissan Pulsar LS.

From what I gather, the late model hatchbacks were assembled in the UK (the indicator is on the left side).

Does this mean the parts are European as well, and therefore may be more expensive if they needed to be replaced?

Parts in general for that particular model are no more expensive than other model Nissans built in Japan.

If you are looking at a good reliable and easy to maintain vehicle they are a good choice.

One thing I would check is the rear seat belt configuration.

Check to see if it is it fitted with a lap belt only in the centre position or a lap and diagonal belt?

May not be a concern for you, but if the vehicle is going to have all seats filled on a regular basis it may be an issue.

A high number of used Japanese imports come with a lap type centre rear belt only, however some NZ new Nissans were sold like this as well.
