I have a 2010 Suzuki Swift (Japanese import), Engine is K12B with a compression ratio of 11:1 (I think).

The dealer recommended 95, is this correct? Would 91 be OK?

Many thanks

The information I have indicates this vehicle can run on regular 91 octane fuel.
Looking at the compression ratio alone doesn't always indicate the fuel octane rating to use. This was the case on older vehicles but in recent times we have seen advanced engine management systems that can deal with 91 octane fuel in very high compression engines. This is clearly evident with Mazda's SKYACTIV engines that manage to run on 91 octane fuel even though it has a high compression ratio of 13:1.
