Hi Guys,

We have a Corolla and a newly bought BMW ( new to us - its a 2002). The BMW has a spot where the clearcoat is just rubbing off. What;s the best way to prevent any more coming off? Should I give the car a good wax every month to form a protective coating? Its a patch the size of my palm so still very small. The car is silver so not a colour usually associated with sun damage

Our Toyota is a Jap import and has a "Teflon Coat" sticker on it. Is it ok to wax this type of car as well? What's the best way of protecting the paintwork?

Unfortunately, cars are parked outside- we have no garage :(

A good wax once a month is the correct approach and the fact that the clear coat has come off indicates that the 'Teflon Coat' paint protection was most probably done years ago and is no longer effective.
