No one can sort out the carburettor on my '92 Citroen BX19 TZS (engine # 1CWA 40200046).

Much spent; got the problem of "too rich when hot" sorted, but the other problem, failing to start at times is proving more difficult.

Seems a shame to dump the car for this?

Can you help?

Carburettors are becoming one of those rare and disappearing components on motor vehicle these days.

It sometimes takes a skilled technician from the "old school", to sort these problems out.

Citroens were never the most popular vehicle on the NZ roads also so any special characteristics or quirks they may have is not common knowledge in the industry.

How you find the right person to sort the problems out is the million dollar question.

I suggest you contact the Citroen car club (www.simplyclassics.co.nz/clubs/C48_Citroen_Car_Club_of_New_Zealand.html) or a carburettor specialist.

If we receive a reply from anybody reading this I will pass it on.
