Hi, I have a 2006 ES Lancer wagon (2.4 manual). When the key is turned to on even if cold the fans start up. They appear to be running continuously, but do shut down shortly after car is stopped. Temp gauge appears OK.
Have looked at other forums with all sorts of answers from replacing most sensors to it being normal. Any thoughts would be appreciated

It doesn't sound normal. More than likely, it is a sensor or relay problem. The other thing to consider is whether it is the main cooling fan or the auxilliary a/c fan that's running. If it's the a/c fan, it could be a control module problem (located behind the dash).
Either way, it sounds like a job for an auto-electrician or perhaps a Mitsubishi dealer.
