Hi Guys,
Have just purchased the above vehicle which has a 2AZ-FE engine and having trouble with iconsistent idle speeds. Sometimes on start up it only goes up to about 800rpm and other times it goes to about 1200rpm which id excpect when cold,however when it is hot and you put it into park it can be as high as 1800rpm.It is an intermittent problem but very annoying.Can anyone help?

It sounds like there could be an air leak on one of the intake pipes or a faulty/sticky throttle body. Your best option is to take the vehicle to a reputable mechanic. The mechanic can connect the diagnostic equipment and if there is an electronic problem the injection computer should've stored a fault code which will make finding the cause that much easier.

Hi Donovan.Many thanks for that information.Am taking it back to the dealer to let them sort it out.I feel that with the symptems it has that the faulty or sticking throttle body is the problem Once again thanks for the help.
