Is flushing the engine a good thing for a BMW 318i E46 1999 model?

The best way to look after an engine is to service it regularly. Flushing the engine loosens any build up of oil sludge which will have a risk of blocking oil-feed holes. This can have a detrimental effect on the engine. In short - try avoid engine flushing.
