I am building a Fraser Clubman using a Nissan SR20DE engine from a non-turbo Silvia. After market quad throttle bodies are being used with a custom inlet manifold.

The quad throttle bodies use the "straight through" injector whereas the original manifold uses the "side" delivery type. I need to know the flow rate of the original injectors fitted to the Silvia to make sure that the ones I buy for the new setup at least match or preferably exceed flow rate of the originals.

Can you help here or put me in touch with someone who can?

Sounds like it will be a fun car, the SR20DE is a wise choice for this application.

Injector flow rate may be specified in the vehicle's workshop manual, or the injectors may be colour coded to fit with specific characteristics. It's not information regularly required for typical service/maintenance so a Nissan dealer may not have the info you require.

If you can't source the exact info you need, I would suggest having the original injectors flow tested. A fuel injection specialist may be able to help you with this.

Try Petro-Ject NZ Ltd (09) 448 1071.

Flow testing a single injector will take merely minutes and will give you an idea of the maximum flow possible from the injectors. Depending on the level of engine modifications you're looking at carrying out, expensive, higher flow injectors may offer little or no power benefits and might be overkill in this instance?

If I receive any more information I will pass it on.
