Hi again,

I used my 1998 BMW 520i car everyday for work from Botany to Mount Eden. Everyday I need to top-up water or coolant as my coolant level was always below minimum level. What can be the cause of this? How can I fix this permanently? Thanks!

There are many possibilities as to why this is happening. The water is either leaking into the engine or on the outside. You need to get the vehicle checked by a mechanic to determine what the cause is and have it repaired. Hopefully it is something small like a leaking water pipe but it could also be a faulty head gasket or water pump which will cost more to repair. A mechanic will be able to advise you as to the cause of the problem once investigated.
