Hi, I have Mitsubishi Outlander 2005, 5 Seater, Petrol, 2400cc Japanese import, These are the reading on driver door.
215/70R16 99H 220kpa (2.2 kgf/cm3)
225/55R18 97H 420kpa (4.2 Kgf/cm3)
Rest is in japans, I have few questions.
1. Is this two reading for front & back tires?
2. Currently all tires are 225/55R18 97V, is this is a issue?
3. What should be the correct tire pressure for additional load of 200kg?
4. What should be the correct tire pressure for additional load of 400kg?
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Tyrone

The tyre pressures for the 225/55R18 tyre on the Outlander is 220kpa/32psi for the front and rear tyres laden or unladen as specified by the manufacturer. The space saver spare wheel is normally inflated to around the 420kpa/60psi but this is also printed on the tyre - confirm this before inflating the tyre. You can add extra air to the front and rear tyres if you feel it is necessary - you can inflate the tyres to 34psi with a load. The tyres you have fitted, the 225/55R18 97 V, are fine as the speed rating is greater than specified.
