I have an older truck that is 6v, my problem is that the truck isn't used regularly in fact at some stages it doesn't get out between getting the C.O.F each 6 months,
My question is what type of battery should I have in it, there seems to be so many different types now and is there any way that I can keep the battery charged or maintaned, should I be charging it every few months,
The truck hasn't been used for the last couple of years and the battery now wont take or hold a charge, with it not being used I seem to be having to buy a new battery every time I want to use the truck

With vehicles that are only used occasionally, we advise using a battery maintenance charger (or Charge & Maintain). This is basically a trickle charger which switches itself on when it detects the battery voltage is getting low, and turns itself off again as the voltage increases.
These are made by a company called Projecta and are available through AA Batteries on 0800 500 222 (take the battery option).
