I bought a 2004 Honda Stream in December 2012, approximately 54,000 km, from a car dealer (import). In the past 6 weeks it developed a significant oil leak. I took it back to dealer, as it is under warranty, and after several days, a new sump gasket, the draining of the transmission, and the replacement of a seal (which they said was a modified seal issued by Honda) I received it back.
I have had it back for three days and put newspaper under the car overnight to double check there were no more problems. There are oil leak marks on the paper this morning. A smaller amount of oil, but still a leak.
I am concerned that after all this work, and on a relatively low mileage vehicle I am getting an oil leak. Am I being unrealistic to expect this?
And can I go back to the dealer/garage again to get this looked at?
I had the impression this was making them very impatient when I picked the car up on Thursday.
I had a 20 year old Nissan Bluebird before this that didn't leak.

You should definitely go back to the dealer about this problem and have them sort it out. Besides the warranty, you are also covered by the Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA) which covers you for a reasonable amount of time. I wouldn't be too concerned if they are impatient as they will be losing patience with the repairer, for not getting it sorted, and not you. Hopefully it's just a case of cleaning the engine properly - maybe this wasn't done after the repair.
