Hi,
I brought a car 3 weeks ago (Mitsubishi Colt) and after only driving it a few times I noticed the air con light blinking and soon after the air started to stop blowing cold. I assume the air con needs regasing although I guess it could be something else as well. I am just wondering whether this would be covered under the Consumer Act from the dealer I brought it from or whether that only covers the mechanical side of things.

Also as a side note, are all the AA Service centres MTA members?

This is a defect with the vehicle, so it is covered under the CGA.
The franchised AA Auto Service Centres will mostly be MTA Members. Any centres owned by the AA will not be.

Thanks for the information. Is the Aa Service Centre in Whangarei MTA approved? If not is there another MTA mechanic the AA recommends. I am needing to get a service done as part of the extended warranty I have but it has to be done by a MTA mechanic.
