My wife has nissan tiida 2005 model. Today she found it very difficult to back out of parking space as the steering wheel was difficult to turn. It was like having no power steering. It righted itself when she switched the engine off and then on again. What should we do?

If this is the model with electric steering there will normally be a power steering warning light that will illuminate when a fault appears. I would suggest you have a mechanic connect a diagnostic computer to the vehicle and read the fault code. From there the fault can be diagnosed further. It could be a bad contact on the electrical connectors or a fault with one of the sensors - like a steering torque sensor.
