We have a 2001 Ford Mondeo which just lately has had a delay when unlocking the car from the drivers door. The mechanical unlock works ok but it takes about 10 - 15 minutes for the rest to release, including the boot. Everything else electronic is ok and the car starts first time so I am not sure if it is the battery. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.

There could be numerous possible causes. However, one issue we've seen with this model is a poor earth connection under the battery box. The connection is prone to corrosion, so it's a possibility.
Other than that, it sounds like a job for an auto-electrician.
