The car won't start and it's showing the sign of a steering wheel with exlamation point is lit. What could be the problem and how to fix? Thanks.

The steering wheel with exclamtion mark beside it relates to the power steering. This light comes on when the key is switched on and goes out when the vehicle starts, so it's doubtful this has anything to do with the reason your car won't start.
Obviously, there could be a multitude of reasons why the car won't start. I suggest you call the AA Roadservice if you're a member, or get in touch with your garage to have someone diagnose the problem.
