Have just notice that the there is a flashing green light in the N when the vehicle is in D drive. It also appears if it is between gears but still runs. Is that selector or fluid level problem.

It sounds like the transmission has locked into 3rd gear fail safe mode due to a transmission fault. It could be a transmission speed sensor fault (input or output) or a transmission failure. You need to get the vehicle to a mechanic and have the computer connected to read the fault codes and diagnose accordingly. It is a good idea to check the oil condition/level aswell.
